Today we watched the Tour of Bright go past and up the hill. When the men's over 60 age group went past I thort of Pop when a cyclest waved. We waved back. A few of the girls got punchers and were a long way behind. We talked to a marshel called Bob and he was very friendly. The riders have to be very fit because yesterday they did time triels. (See part 2). Today they did a race and tomorro they will race up Mount Hothem.
Part 2- Pedal, pedal, pedal.
The green lite signals and the rider speeds down the ramp at full speed. Tucht down below the wind, pedaling fast, the rider zooms out of sight from the start. He wears a spishal wind tunnel helmot. He keeps going til he gets to the first round about and heads up a hill to the left. Then he races down the hill to the finel strate. His legs are hurting. His face is sweting and the wind is in his face. Everything is bad but he keeps going. He pedals as fast as he can and then he is finished. He feels good. He feels great and that was his day.
Pop would have loved being there Harvey. I'm glad you got to see the tour while you were there. X Nannie
ReplyDeleteHi Harvey
ReplyDeleteWell now you know what goes on before the TT races. I can see the riders warming up on their wind trainers before they start. Just pretend you were at the Tour de France mate. Only with thousands more people watching, heh!
Cheers for now, Love Pop.
I thought I saw Uncle Clint. Perhaps he snuck down there for a quick race
