Harvey- Holiday Road
We have this song called Holiday Road that we play every driving day. A driving day is when we are all loaded up with the trailer on. The song was Dad's idere and he didn't tell us until the first day on the trip. That was a long time ago now. Sixteen weeks ago in fact. Now we are nerely done on the trip and we are not impressed with the song as we have heard it 30 times. We are coming to the end of our advenchure.

Harvey- Northern Beaches Safari
First stop was Curl Curl Beach just north of Manly. The waves were medium sized and good. Curl Curl Beach also had a polluted lagoon that Milla found out you are not supposed to swim in. I hope she doesn't come out with a rash tonight!
Maisie- Magnificent Manly
Manly is a suburb of Sydney at the entrance to Sydney Harbour. It has both surf and bay beaches. We caught the ferry to Manly because you can't catch the train. The ferry ride takes about half an hour.
We got a great view of the Sydney Opera House and the harbour and lots of other little bays.
When we got to Manly we walked a street of shops to get to the surf beach. There were lots of people at the beach. I really wanted to boogy board but we unfortunately didn't take them on the ferry. Manly had a lot of surf shops and trendy cafés and restaurants. There was another little beach around the corner with lots of fancy houses overlooking it. I would love to live in Manly.

We cood see the opra house, sidny harbor bridj and lots and lots of firawerks. I was tide by the end. We playd on the play growd for a long time and got hot and swetty.
Maisie- Sizzling Sydney
My first impressions of Sydney are that Sydney is a very big city, geographically quite beautiful with the harbour, bays, coves, cliffs and beaches and it is full of brick apartment buildings and terraced houses.
We have walked and walked exploring Sydney til our legs hurt and I have enjoyed working out the maze of trains and ferrys. Sydney has turned on it's very best weather just for us. Sunny and 28 degrees.
We are staying at Lane Cove National Park. The campground is very leafy and despite being full of families and backpackers, we have our own little patch of green. This is our last campground and it is nice to finish with a good one.
The nearest train station, North Ryde, is a 1km walk away. We have been catching the train in and out of the city. It is only 6 stops. On the first day, we got stuck behind a broken down train and had to sit in a hot train for 20 minutes. It was not a good start. The trains have 3 levels. It is so cool. You walk in on the middle level, then there is an upper and a lower level. We buy a daily ticket and have to insert it into the barrier as you walk through. Mum says it reminds her of the tube in London.
As I mentioned, we have walked and walked. The famous Victoria Arcade was well worth a look. I have never seen so many gorgeous shops. We even saw the vintage clock strike eleven.
We sat and had lunch in the Royal Botanic Gardens with an amazing view of the Sydney Harbour Bridge and Opera House. Wow, I had to pinch myself.
There was a massive cruise ship parked in circular quay and we saw the ferrys buzzing in and around like busy bees. We didn't get to go inside the Opera House as they were setting up for New Years Eve but we walked around it.
We have also walked around the old part of Sydney, called the Rocks. I have stood on the first road built in Australia. I am really enjoying Sydney, but I am not sure whether I would like to live here. I haven't put it down on my list just yet, but I probably will. I may just add a few conditions, like only if I earn a million dollars or more a year.
Milla- This Way to the Zoo ->
When my family and I went to the zoo we had to get on a train and then we had to get on anuther train. Then we had to work to the ferry. On the ferry there was a dec on the botom and on the top. When we got there we workt up the hill to the zoo. We saw zebras and grafs and elefets and even an anaconda. I bort a toy grarf and Maisie bort a toy arangatang from the shop. We had an amaising day.
Harvey- The SCG
SCG stands for the Sydney Cricket Ground. I have now ticked it off my list. We went to watch the Perth Scorchers verse the Sydney Sixers. The Sixers mascot looked like this.
Harvey- 15000 km
We have just done 15000 km on our trip. The clock reset after 10000 km and we are now up to 5000km.

Harvey - Smash after Smash
Rough condishons took place on day one of the Sydney to Hobart boat race. Thirty not winds were smashing into their faces and it was very slow moving. The big waves and choppy condishons made lots of boats retier. I wonder who will make it to Consertushon Doc first?
Milla- Rola Scates
I got some rola scates for crismis from my mum and my dad. I am pritey good but a littl bit wobaly and it is hilly. But I have got my balals. The end.
Maisie-Annoying Earwigs
Earwigs are an animal that we have found very annoying in the past month or so. When we were in Myrtleford, Vic and they climbed up our poles and somehow got in our tent to keep dry as we had a lot of rain in Myrtleford. Ever since we have sprayed inside the tent every day...but we still have them! We have taken them into the ACT and New South Wales. This morning mum found six live ones in the tent! We have also found ants, mozzies and cockroaches. We might still find some in our tent in two years time...that is if we are camping in two years time!
